Our activity at the church tonight was a Night in Bethlehem. We were ordered by a decree from Caesar to be taxed and so we made the pilgrimage. I loved the marketplace. Hummus and pita bread...yuuummm! The primary was asked to sing in the program so we went from citizens to heavenly messengers pretty quickly. Eric had a great costume, but we all looked pretty good I think.

so, I have seen pics of this type of ward party on the internet and on various other blogs. I am the activity person in my ward, and it was recommended we do the night in bethlehem next year. So - since your ward did it and you liked it, I want to know if it went smoothly, etc. I mean, in all of the scripts I read about it, you have the ward members bring their own blankets to sit on, etc. Well, my question is what about the older people? did they really sit on the floor? Also, with all of the marketplace booths, did people complain that they had to go from one booth to the next to get various parts of their dinner? Did you get enough to eat? did people complain that it wasn't a "sit-down" dinner? Who ran the booths? auxillaries? families? were kids running amok? did you have to "buy" your food? if so what did you use for $? Anyway... please give me any advice, tips, etc. that you can remember or think would help! Thanks!!! ~Emma
